Minimal Handling in the Endoscopy Suite
Batch Collection - After retrieval, biopsies are flushed from the AEM storage tip into fixative as a batch reducing specimen handling, damage, loss and time in the endoscopy suite.
Serial Collection - The AEM storage tip is separated placed in fixative to convey the serially collected, oriented, stored specimens to pathology. A biopsy log, completed in the suite identifies each specimen. The specimens appear on the finished slide in the order of acquisition as documented in the log for a reading of specimens from each biopsy site.

In Tip Processing in Pathology
On arrival AEM storage tip is removed from fixative and immediately ready for processing without handling. After processing into paraffin, the encased specimens are sliced on a microtome, mounted on a single slide and stained for interpretation. Specimens appear on the finished slide in the order of acquisition as documented in the log for a separate reading of the specimens from each biopsy site.
